Description
The exterior was stripped before receiving a repaint replicating its factory-delivered Silver Metallic (80). XPEL paint-protection film was applied to the leading surfaces of the nose and rear quarter panels in 2019. Reconditioned trim including rocker-panel strips and gold lettering was installed during reassembly. Rust repair was performed on the nose panel and the front suspension pan.
Refinished 15” Fuchs wheels are wrapped in 185/70 Pirelli Cinturato CN36 tires. Braking is provided by four-wheel ventilated discs. Koni shocks…

Sport seats have been reupholstered and are mounted with a set of reconditioned tracks and hinges. Kuehl air-conditioning components are designed to work with the factory switches and under-dash vents. A Blaupunkt AM/FM radio is positioned in the dashboard.
A four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of VDO instrumentation that includes an 8k-rpm tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, combination gauges, and a clock. The five-digit odometer shows 69k miles, and true mileage is unknown.
The mechanically injected 2.2L flat-six is paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Rothsport Racing of Sherwood, Oregon rebuilt the engine and transaxle for approximately $35k in 2017. The engine was rebuilt again in early 2021 by LA Workshop 5001 of Los Angeles, California at a cost of more than $80k, as detailed on a spreadsheet pictured in the gallery below.
