Steel 14″ wheels wear “Z” covers and are mounted with 195/70 Hankook Kinergy ST tires showing 2021 date codes. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums. The front calipers and pads as well as the rear cylinders were replaced during the refurbishment, and the brake master cylinder and booster along with the front suspension bushings were replaced under current ownership.
The seats were rebuilt with replacement cushions and refinished in black upholstery during the refurbishment, and additional work included replacing the console, insulation, interior panels, headliner, carpeting, dashboard, and seatbelts. Equipment includes a heater, a leather-wrapped shift knob, diamond-pattern sidewall trim, and Datsun-branded floor mats. The seller notes that the clock and the Hitachi AM/FM radio are inoperable and the replacement seat covers lack vented inserts.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer; gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage are housed in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 96k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership. The seller notes that approximately 1,500 miles have been accumulated since completion of the refurbishment.
The 2.4-liter L24 inline-six was sourced and fitted during the refurbishment. Work performed at that time included a .040″ overbore as well as replacing the pistons, main bearings, rod bearings, gaskets, timing-chain tensioner, oil pump, water pump, carburetors, ignition coil, distributor, spark plugs, coolant hoses, and radiator. The carburetors were rebuilt under current ownership, and compression-test readings are provided in the gallery.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission that was rebuilt prior to installation. The fuel tank as well as a rebuilt driveshaft and accompanying components were also replaced. Additional service under current ownership included replacing the rear axles with CV-style units, and the removed axles are included in the sale.
