Staggered-width 17″ alloy Campagnolo-style wheels are mounted with 225/45 front and 335/35 rear Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. The car is equipped with a hydraulic handbrake, hollow sway bars, Hall Pantera lowering springs, adjustable coilovers, extended upper A-arms, and front and rear cross-braces. Stopping power is provided by Wilwood front and rear disc brakes. The tires are said to have been installed in 2021.
The cabin features Corvette-sourced bucket seats reupholstered in black leather with ring-grommet ventilation joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, console, and door panels. Equipment includes Simpson seat belts, DeTomaso-branded floor mats, electric windows, and aftermarket speakers. An installed Alpine CD stereo works intermittently and two additional headunits are included in the sale. The center of the dash covering is lifting, the air conditioning does not work, and the condenser has been removed. An Optima red-top battery and DeTomaso tool kit are mounted in the front storage compartment.
The flat-bottom steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5,900-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges housed in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 53k miles, approximately 1,200 of which were added under current ownership.
The mid-mounted 351ci Cleveland V8 was rebuilt in 2005 and features a .030″ overbore, a Comp Cams camshaft, MSD 6AL electronic ignition, MSD high voltage coil, Quick Fuel 750-cfm carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, an Oil filter adapter, a bundle of snakes headers, and ported cylinder heads. Work since 2021 is said to have consisted of replacing the carburetor, spark plugs, and ignition wires.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a ZF five-speed manual transaxle. The transmission is said to have been rebuilt under previous ownership by Hall Panteras.
The Deluxe Marti Report lists production figures, initial delivery to Schilling Motors in Memphis, Tennessee, and a build date in January 1972.
