Black 13″ 26R-style knock-off magnesium wheels feature silver lips and are mounted with Michelin XAS FF tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors, and the brake fluid was flushed in preparation for the sale.
The interior features black seat upholstery with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Appointments include a polished wood dash fascia and gear selector knob as well as three-point seat belts, electric windows, a heater, and a glove compartment.
A Colin Chapman signature steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation that includes a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer indicates 69k miles, less than 500 of which have been added by the current owner. True mileage is unknown.
The twin-cam 1.6-liter “Big Valve” inline-four was overhauled in 2017 by J&L Fabricating of Puyallup, Washington, and features dual 45mm Weber DCOE carburetors and a stainless-steel exhaust system. Work performed in preparation for the sale included resealing and adjusting the carburetors, changing the oil, and flushing the coolant. Results from an August 2017 dyno test are included in the gallery below.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The differential fluid was flushed in preparation for the sale.
