Vision Wheel 17″ Manx 2 Overland wheels finished in Satin Grey feature Toms Offroad manual locking front hubs and are mounted with BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO tires. A 1″ body lift was installed along with 3.5″ of suspension lift that was achieved through the use of front coils with a drop pitman arm and radius-arm drop brackets as well as rear lift blocks. Four Toms Offroad NitroX shocks are mounted at the rear and two are mounted up front. A Borgeson steering kit consisting of an adjustable drag link, tie rods, and connecting sleeves has been fitted along with a Delphi power steering pump. Braking is provided by four-wheel power-assisted discs.
The interior is upholstered in black vinyl, and spray-on bedliner has been applied to the floors. Equipment includes front bucket and rear bench seats, lap belts, and a padded center console with cup holders. A photo showing a cut on the driver’s seat can be viewed in the gallery.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a body-color metal dashboard housing a weather-resistant 120-mph Dakota Digital VHX speedometer in a stock-style housing. Speedometer insets include an 8k-rpm tachometer, gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage, and a pair of LCD readouts. The digital odometer shows 10 miles, and the seller estimates having driven 200 miles since completion of the build. True mileage is unknown.
The 302ci V8 is equipped with a Windsor camshaft, a 500cfm Holley two-barrel carburetor, an HEI distributor, and shorty headers flowing into a two-into-one exhaust system. A rebuild in October 2021 included boring the cylinders .040″ over, installing flat-top pistons, resurfacing the cylinder heads, turning the crankshaft, and replacing the valves.
