Chrome 15″ wire wheels are secured by three-lobe knock-offs and are mounted with Avon Radial CR6ZZ tires sized 185/70 up front and 215/60 out back. The suspension is modified with aluminum front uprights and tubular wishbones, a six-link live rear axle, and adjustable coilovers at all four corners. Braking is provided by Frontline-branded multi-piston calipers over four-wheel ventilated discs along with stainless-steel brake lines.
The cockpit was reupholstered and red Connolly leather trims the bucket seats, door panels, dash pad, and center tunnel. Charcoal carpets line the footwells and trunk, and additional appointments include power windows, a retro-style stereo with Bluetooth connectivity, air conditioning, a trunk-mounted amplifier, Abingdon Edition sill plates, a cabin heater, a dash-mounted mirror, and three-point safety belts.
The three-spoke steering wheel wears a leather wrap and frames Smiths instrumentation that consists of a 170-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7,500-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature as well as a center-mounted analog clock. The six-digit digital odometer indicates 4k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership. Total chassis miles are unknown.
The Mazda-sourced 2.5-liter inline-four is rated at 289 horsepower and 241 lb-ft of torque and features aluminum construction, individual runner throttle bodies, variable valve timing, and Omex engine management.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Mazda-sourced six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential with a 3.7:1 gear ratio.
