The cabin features front bucket seats upholstered in brown leather along with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes power windows, a Kenwood AM/FM cassette stereo, and carpeted floor mats. A 2021 air conditioning service included installing a rotary compressor and replacing the lines, front condenser, and blower motor as well as converting the system to R134a. The driver’s seat bolsters are worn, and additional blemishes are shown in the gallery.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a centrally mounted tachometer with an inset boost gauge, a 300-km/h speedometer, and an analog clock, all of which were recently rebuilt. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 94k kilometers (~58k miles), approximately 600 of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.0-liter flat-six was overhauled in 2021 by Fabson Engineering of Cedarburg, Wisconsin. Work included refurbishing the cylinder heads, connecting rods, crankshaft, rocker arm shafts, fuel distributor, and turbocharger as well as replacing the piston rings, timing chains and tensioners, bearings, fuel accumulator, fuel injectors, Tial wastegate, oil lines, and CDI ignition box. Additional service included updating the cylinder head studs, installing Turbo lower valve covers, and replacing the battery.
The four-speed manual transaxle was refurbished by Fabson Engineering with work including replacing the synchronizers, shift sleeves, first gear, and the main shaft as well as the bearings for the pinion and differential carrier. Service under current ownership has consisted of replacing the heat exchangers, muffler, and shift linkage bushings as well as servicing the CV axles.
