The front bucket seats and rear bench were reupholstered in red leather with patterned cloth inserts during the refurbishment. Additional work at that time included replacing the floorboards, carpets, and interior panels, repainting interior metal surfaces in black, and installing a Vintage Air climate control system and an AM radio. Rust is noted on the door jambs.
The two-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a 100-mph speedometer with perimeter supplementary gauges. The mechanical odometer shows 56k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 302ci V8 was rebuilt in May 2022. Work included over-boring the cylinders .030″, re-grinding the crankshaft, and replacing the camshaft, cam bearings, lifter kit, double-roller timing set, oil pump, valve guides, frost plugs, and oil galley plugs. The engine bay was repainted during the refurbishment.
A C4 three-speed automatic transmission was installed in May 2022 and is said to have been sourced from another 1977 Bronco. Additional work included removing the body from the frame, stripping the frame to bare metal, and painting it black.
Photos taken during the refurbishment are provided in the gallery.
