The truck was refinished in the original Freeborn Red during the refurbishment, and other work at that time is said to have included corrosion repairs and replacing lighting components and half of the body tub. Features include a removable hardtop with a Polar White roof along with safari-style mirrors, rear ambulance-style doors, and a rear-mounted spare tire. A gap is noted above the left door when closed, and overspray can be seen on the lower roll cage.
