Fuchs-style 16″ wheels with bright lips are mounted with 205/55 front and 225/50 rear Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season 4 tires with 2020 date codes. A space-saver spare is stored in the front trunk. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes, and Bilstein rear shocks were installed in November 2020.
The cabin features bucket seats with integrated headrests which were reupholstered in brown leather with perforated inserts. A color-coordinated dash, center console, and door panels are fitted. Equipment includes air conditioning, power windows, Porsche-branded floor mats, and a Sony stereo. The ignition switch and the driver door seal were replaced in 2020, at which time a steering column bushing was installed. Discoloration is visible on the seats and door panels, and the seller notes scratches on the dash in front of the steering wheel. The rear window was re-tinted in preparation for the sale.
A three-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a central tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, a clock, and combination gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 155k miles, approximately 111k of which were added by the current owner. Approximately 5k miles have been added since the engine rebuild.
The air-cooled 3.0L flat-six is equipped with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and was rebuilt in 2005 by Sam Shalala at Pro Technik of Stafford, Texas, at which time Carrera oil-fed chain tensioners were installed. Work performed in November 2020 included servicing the fuel injection system, installing a Dansk muffler, and replacing the motor mounts, an oil line, and the oil pressure sending unit as well as updating the air conditioning system with a rotary-style compressor and a replacement expansion valve and receiver drier.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle which was rebuilt concurrently with the engine. The clutch was adjusted in November 2020. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery below.
