The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a central tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline as well as a 170-mph speedometer, a clock, and gauges for oil level, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 72k miles, approximately 20k of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.0-liter flat-six features Bosch fuel injection and was factory rated at 172 horsepower and 189 lb-ft of torque. Work since 2021 has reportedly included an R134a refrigerant conversion for the air conditioning system and the replacement of the alternator, air conditioning belt, ignition wires, spark plugs, and engine oil.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Type 915 five-speed manual transaxle that is said to have been rebuilt in 2021, at which time the clutch was reportedly replaced and a Dansk exhaust muffler was installed. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery.
The window sticker lists factory colors and equipment, initial delivery to Howard Cooper Porsche-Audi of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and a total price of $39,015.
