The body was refinished in Iris Blue during previous ownership, and the car wears a white rear engine cover and roundels as well as an unpainted right-front fender that was installed by the owner following an on-track accident. The rear bumper has been removed, and additional modifications include a rear ducktail spoiler, 993-style side mirrors, and a front bumper comprised of two RUF-style bumpers joined together in the center with black screws. Additional photos in the gallery further show scrapes and scuffs on the right side and other blemishes in the finish. Rust is noted on the left corner of the windshield corner and at the corners of the rear window.
Fuchs-style wheels are fitted with 15″ Toyo Proxes tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs rebuilt by PMB Performance of Murray, Utah, and the suspension has been modified with the following components:
The cabin features Recaro seats upholstered in black cloth and fitted with Schroth harnesses. The pedal cluster was reportedly rebuilt and features an adjustable accelerator pedal sourced from Wings Air-Cooled Specialties. Additional equipment includes a fire extinguisher, drilled aluminum foot boards, and an aftermarket stereo. The rear seats and carpeting have been removed, and a Safety Devices rear roll cage is installed.
The MOMO steering wheel is wrapped in Alcantara and frames a central tachometer, a 260-km/h speedometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 207k kilometers (~129k miles), approximately 3k kilometers of which were added under current ownership. The Carfax report notes a potential odometer rollback in June 2000. Total mileage is unknown.
The 3.6-liter VarioRam flat-six was reportedly sourced from a 1996 Carrera and is paired with a rebuilt G50 five-speed manual transaxle. The ECU features a Rennsport Systems tune by Steve Weiner, and further additions include a 964 RS-style heater-duct bypass, B&B heat exchangers, and a GT3-style muffler equipped with electric cutouts. Service by the owner is said to have included replacement of the clutch master and slave cylinders.
The seller notes engine oil seepage, and additional images of the underside are available in the gallery below.
The roof rack pictured will accompany the car, while the board displayed will not be included.
