Painted 15″ Gullideckel alloy wheels are mounted with 205/65 Continental ContiProContact tires. The car was factory equipped with power steering, a fully independent suspension, and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes. The steering coupler was replaced and the brake fluid was flushed since 2021.
The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in Brazil brown leather along with a matching center console and door panels. Amenities include automatic climate control, power windows, cruise control, an alarm system, and a Becker Grand Prix cassette stereo that has reportedly been modified for Bluetooth connectivity by Becker Autosound of Saddle Brook, New Jersey. The wiring for a previously-installed carphone was removed under current ownership and the hazard switch, intermittent wiper relay, and cabin blower motor were replaced. The seller notes cracks in the passenger-seat upholstery and states that the vacuum-operated central locking does not work correctly.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts VDO instrumentation including a 170-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel economy, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 38k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership. A mileage inconsistency is noted on the Carfax report in September 1998 and true mileage is unknown.
The 5.5-liter M117 V8 was factory rated at 227 horsepower and 279 lb-ft of torque. Work under current ownership has included an oil change and replacement of the battery, power steering return hoses, secondary air pump filter, and heater-control monovalve diaphragm along with the air conditioning high- and low-pressure switches, receiver-drier, and compressor.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The transmission cooler flex hoses were replaced and the differential fluid was changed under current ownership.
Manufacturer’s literature is included in the sale along with two keys, a tool kit, a hardtop stand, and recent service records.
