The car was finished from the factory in Diamond Black Metallic (181) and is said to have been repainted. Exterior details include pop-out rear quarter windows, twin exhaust outlets, and M3-specific bodywork consisting of aerodynamic bumper covers, wider fenders, side skirts, and a rear wing. Work in February 2022 included rebuilding the driver-side door lock actuator and installing replacement sunroof seals and cables. Blemishes consist of pitting on the headlight lenses, a crack in the left front indicator lens, paint cracks on the front bumper cover and rear spoiler, dings and scratches under the left rear window, wear on the passenger-side window trim, a paint flaw on the roof, and paint chips on various body panels. The hood is missing the VIN sticker, and the VIN stickers on the fenders have been painted over. A printout of paint meter readings is provided in the gallery below.

The brake lines, front strut mounts, and control arm bushings were replaced in February 2022.
The bolstered front seats have been reupholstered in beige and are joined by color-coordinating rear seating, door panels, and carpets. According to the selling dealer, the 2.3-liter S14 inline-four was reportedly rebuilt during previous ownership and is fitted with an upgraded timing chain tensioner. Work in 2022 included refinishing the valve cover and intake plenum along with replacing the valve cover gasket, fuel rail lines, and drive belts. The radiator support shows signs of an impact, and seepage is present from the timing cover and oil pan.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Vibration from the gear shifter while in third gear is exhibited in the driving video below. The seals for the transmission output shaft and selector shaft were replaced in February 2022 along with the clutch and slave cylinder. An aftermarket exhaust muffler is installed, and corrosion is visible underneath.
