The NSX featured aluminum bodywork, and this example is finished in Formula Red with a black roof panel and pillars. Features include pop-up headlights, an integrated rear wing, side air intakes, power-adjustable side mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller notes that the trunk struts are weak.
Five-spoke forged wheels measure 15″ in diameter up front and 16″ out back, and are mounted with Dunlop Direzza DZ102 tires measuring 205/50 and 225/50, respectively. The car features a four-wheel double-wishbone suspension with front and rear stabilizer bars, and braking is handled by NSX-branded calipers over vented rotors at each corner.
The cabin features power-adjustable sport seats upholstered in Ivory leather, while black leather covers the dashboard as well as the upper center console and door surfaces. Interior amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, and a rebuilt stereo featuring Kenwood internal components with Bluetooth capability as well as USB and auxiliary inputs. The amplifiers have been replaced, and the trunk-mounted CD changer does not function. The stainless-steel door sill plates are stamped with the car’s serial number, and the carpets are protected by floor mats with NSX embroidery.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a tachometer with an 8,000-rpm redline, a 188-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer indicates 21k miles, approximately 800 of which were added under current ownership.
The mid-mounted 3.0-liter V6 features VTEC variable valve timing. Following the seller’s acquisition, the car was serviced at Automotive Instincts in Northridge, California, and work included a valve adjustment along with replacing the valve cover gaskets, tensioners, belts, water pump, oxygen sensor, drive belt, and vehicle speed sensor. The car passed a California emissions test in preparation for the sale.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. A photo showing transaxle serial number J4A4-1001787 is provided in the gallery, indicating that the unit falls outside the snap ring failure range.
A front mask is included in the sale, along with service records, spare parts, extra floor mats, and a car cover.
