Turbine-style 16″ aluminum wheels wear GMC-branded center caps and are mounted with 245/50 Firestone Firehawk tires showing 1991 date codes. The truck is equipped with front disc brakes and four-wheel ABS as well as a sport-tuned suspension system that utilizes a 32mm front stabilizer bar and rear Electronic Level Control.
The bolstered front bucket seats are trimmed in black leather with grey cloth outers and headrests stitched with “Typhoon” embroidery. Equipment includes air conditioning, cruise control, a center-console shifter, power windows and locks, GM-branded floor mats, and an AM/FM/CD stereo with equalizers.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel sits ahead of a 120-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer with an inset boost-pressure gauge, and readouts for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. The five-digit odometer shows 12k miles, approximately two of which have been added by the selling dealer.
The turbocharged and intercooled 4.3-liter V6 produced 280 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque when new. The oil was changed and the battery and fuel filter were replaced in August 2022.
Power is sent to all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission, a Borg Warner transfer case, and a limited-slip rear differential. All Typhoons were equipped with a high-capacity transmission cooling package. A Magnaflow muffler is noted in additional underbody photos below.
The window sticker shows initial delivery to Dave Gill Pontiac-GMC Truck of Columbus, Ohio, along with standard equipment, options, and a total price of $29,730. An owner’s manual and manufacturer’s literature are included in the sale.
