Polished 17″ Volk Racing GTP-C wheels are mounted with Sumitomo tires that measure 255/40 up front and 275/40 out back. Braking is provided by four-wheel anti-lock discs with red Mazda-branded calipers up front. The suspension has been modified with installation of HKS adjustable coilovers.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black microsuede trim accompanied by a center console and dash surround that are said to have been sourced from a 1994 model. Additional equipment includes an AM/FM cassette stereo, air conditioning, cruise control, Garage Alpha floor mats, a JP3 Motorsports short throw shifter, and a Spirit R shift knob, shift boot, e-brake boot, and e-brake handle.
The three-spoke steering wheel is said to have been sourced from a 2000 model and features a Mazda “Flying M” badge. Instrumentation consists of a central tachometer, a 180-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 57k miles, approximately 6k of which have been added under current ownership.
The 1.3-liter 13B-REW Wankel rotary was fitted with a single turbocharger kit during previous ownership and was reportedly rebuilt in 2019 including installation of sequential turbochargers from a 1999 model. Parts and components replaced as part of the engine work are said to have included:
The car is equipped with manual boost controllers, and additional modifications include the following:
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential. The car features a GReddy catback exhaust with a stainless-steel downpipe.
The removed front bumper, rear wing, wheels, and suspension components are included in the sale.
