Five-spoke 16″ alloy wheels were manufactured using a squeeze-casting process to reduce weight and wear 225/50 Goodyear Eagle GT AR tires that show date codes from 2008. The double-wishbone suspension incorporates forged aluminum control arms, and braking is handled by four-piston front and single-piston rear calipers with vented rotors. Flaking paint is present on the wheel center caps.
The interior features manually-adjustable bucket seats trimmed in tan leather with matching carpets and RX-7-branded floor mats. Additional equipment includes cruise control, power windows, locks, and mirrors, a Bose Acoustic Wave sound system, air conditioning, and driver and passenger airbags. Additional storage compartments are located behind the driver and passenger seats.
The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel sits ahead of chrome-ringed instrumentation including a central tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline, a 180-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 38k miles. The selling dealer states that the check engine light remains illuminated due to a faulty EGR sensor.
Power is provided by a 1.3-liter Wankel rotary engine that features sequentially-operated twin turbochargers and an air-to-air intercooler. Factory-rated output was 255 horsepower and 217 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential. Damage to the plastic front undertray is noted, a replacement for which is included in the sale.
