TRD Pro 17″ alloy wheels and 255/75 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A K02 tires were installed following the seller’s acquisition. Aisin locking front hubs were installed with ARP hardware and the factory axle-disconnect system was removed and replaced with a single-piece axle assembly sourced from a non-ADD truck. The truck is equipped with Bilstein shocks and stopping power is provided by front discs and rear drum brakes. The passenger side axle and CV joints were replaced along with heavy-duty rear axle shafts, bearings and seals.
The bolstered bucket seats are trimmed in gray cloth with patterned inserts, and jump seats are mounted in back. Striped Coco mats line the footwells, and appointments include air conditioning, power windows, a sliding rear window, a pop-up sunroof, and a double-DIN Kenwood Excelon touchscreen multimedia receiver with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Following the seller’s acquisition, the cruise control system was removed and the left door switches were replaced.
The MOMO steering wheel frames an 8k-rpm tachometer and 110-mph speedometer. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows less than 137k miles, approximately 4k of which were added under current ownership.
The truck is powered by a 1UZ-FE V8 sourced from a Lexus LS400 and installed under current ownership. A Link Atom G4X stand-alone engine management system, engine wire harness, and coil-on-plug conversion was mated to the factory body connector with a custom Off Road Solutions body harness. ARP head studs, Web Cams camshafts, head gaskets, valve cover gaskets, timing belt, air conditioning compressor, power steering pump, serpentine belt, starter, and engine sensors were replaced along with the fuel pump and filter. A PRC radiator, SPAL cooling fan, thermostat, water pump and hoses were also installed along with a relocated Optima battery.
The truck was converted to a manual transmission with an R151 five-speed gearbox and dual range transfer case that is said to have been rebuilt by Marlin Crawler with billet shift forks. The drivetrain swap was completed with an adapter bell housing, custom urethane motor mounts, and new clutch, flywheel, slave and master cylinder components. A custom rear driveshaft and new carrier bearing was installed along with Eaton Tru-Trac differentials, Yukon 4.88:1 gears, and new bearings. Ride-Tech sway bar Posi-Links were installed along with OEM bushings. Tubular headers and a 3″ stainless-steel exhaust system with a Flowmaster muffler is fitted.
