Cobra-specific 17″ cast aluminum wheels are mounted with 245/45 BFGoodrich Comp T/A ZR tires. The suspension features variable-rate springs and gas-pressurized dampers. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes, the front of which feature 13″ rotors and Cobra-branded dual-piston calipers.
The front bucket seats and the rear bench seat are upholstered in black leather and are joined by color-coordinated trim. Appointments include air conditioning, cruise control, remote keyless entry, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a factory Mach 460 sound system with cassette and CD players.
The leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 9 miles.
The 4.6-liter V8 features an aluminum engine block and cylinder heads as well as dual overhead camshafts and variable-length intake runners. Factory-rated output was 305 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a 3.27:1 Traction-Lok limited-slip differential. Additional underside images are presented in the gallery.
The attached window sticker shows initial delivery to Paramount Ford of Valdese, North Carolina as well as factory colors, equipment, and a total price of $27,485. Manufacturer’s literature, SVT documents, and an uninstalled front license plate bracket will also accompany the car.
