The CSi featured a modified suspension with stiffer springs and dampers compared to the standard 850, and European-market examples were equipped with upgraded brakes and four-wheel steering with an active rear axle. The cabin features power-adjustable heated front bucket seats and individual rear seats upholstered in black leather while wood veneer trim accents the center console. Amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, an M-branded shift knob, a BMW Professional cassette stereo linked to a trunk-mounted CD changer, a Hi-Fi sound system, and an onboard computer.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a replacement instrument cluster consisting of a 7k-rpm tachometer, a 190-mph speedometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer shows 34k miles.
The 5.6-liter S70B56 V12 features Bosch Motronic fuel injection and an engine oil cooler, and it was factory rated at 375 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential with a differential oil cooler.
