The Carfax report shows two accident entries, the first of which resulted in “severe” damage to the front of the car in May 1999 when the car struck a median, and the second of which resulted in damage to the rear of the car in October 2008. Records indicate that the soft top fabric was replaced in 2016 and the soft top motor was replaced in 2022.
The 18″ BSA wheels have pitted finish and are mounted with Kumho Ecsta PS91 tires measuring 225/40 up front and 265/35 out back. The car features an Automatic Brake Differential (ABD), and the 993 was the first 911 to feature multi-link rear suspension. Braking is handled by Porsche-branded calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners. Records indicate that the steering rack, tie rods, and front brake pads, rotors, lines, and sensors were replaced in April 2020, the steering rack lines were replaced in September 2021, and the brake booster was replaced in December 2021. A record from December 2021 noted a blown right-rear damper.
The power height-adjustable front seats are upholstered in black supple leather and were re-dyed in July 2018. Amenities include a Hi-Fi sound system, a Porsche CDR-210 CD stereo, a removable wind deflector, cruise control, and air conditioning. Records indicate that the headliner was reupholstered in March 2016.
The steering wheel was rewrapped in leather in 2018 and frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, a 180-mph speedometer, a Quarz analog clock, and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 49k miles, approximately 25k of which were added under current ownership, and records indicate that the speedometer was repaired in February 2015. Total mileage is unknown.
The air-cooled 3.6L flat-six features a VarioRam intake system and was factory rated at 282 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. The timing chain housing gaskets, ignition coils, and drive belts were replaced in September 2021, the lower valve cover gaskets and spark plugs were replaced in November 2021, and the ignition wires and distributor caps and rotors were replaced in April 2022. A November 2021 inspection noted an oil leak.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle.
