The 2002 model year marked the final year of production for the fourth-generation Camaro and this example is finished in Bright Rally Red (81) with silver racing stripes. Additional exterior details include dual center-mounted exhaust outlets, removable T-tops, a forced air-induction hood, an SS-specific rear spoiler, and fog lights.
Polished 17″ aluminum wheels with black recesses are wrapped in 275/40 BFGoodrich g-Force Sport tires. SLP added the 1LE suspension package, and the car is equipped with four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes and traction control.
The cabin features two-tone Ebony and gray leather upholstery and commemorative badging is present on the center console and the headrests display 35th Anniversary embroidery. Amenities include a power-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, cruise control, and an eight-speaker Monsoon audio system with an amplifier, a CD stereo, and a remote 12-disc CD changer.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 155-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The digital odometer indicates 25k miles, approximately 3k of which were added by the seller.
The 5.7-liter LS1 V8 was modified by SLP when new and is equipped with their Center Mounted Performance Exhaust Package. The oil was changed in 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission.
Chevrolet and SLP Engineering window stickers, manufacturer’s literature, build documents, and two sets of keys are included in the sale and presented in the gallery.
The document shown above is said to show production volume of 58 units for the 1LE package on the 35th Anniversary Edition Camaro.
