The car is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic with Shadowline trim and features xenon headlights with washers, fog lamps, front and rear parking sensors, tinted windows, a glass sunroof, a trunk lid spoiler, rain-sensing wipers, and quad exhaust outlets. Paint chips are noted on the bumper covers, and the front bumper cover has been drilled for a license plate.
Chrome Shadow 18″ Style 65 wheels were refinished in May 2022 and are mounted with Falken Azenis tires, the rears of which were replaced in April 2022. The car features Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Automatic Stability Control (ASC). Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs measuring 13.6″ and 12.9″ front and rear, respectively. Work in May 2021 included replacing power-steering hoses.
The cabin features black Nappa leather covering the heated power-adjustable front sport seats, door panel inserts, center console, and lower dashboard, while burl walnut wood accents the upper dashboard, center console, and upper doors. Amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, and navigation.
The multi-function leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts an M-branded 185-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a variable redline, along with gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 57k miles. The instrument cluster was reprogramed for metric measurements in April 2008, and it was removed and reprogramed to read in miles in May 2022.
The 4.9-liter S62 V8 is equipped with individual throttle bodies and double-VANOS continuously variable valve timing. It was factory rated at 394 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and 369 lb-ft of torque at 3,800 rpm. The valve cover gaskets were replaced in May 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Getrag six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additional photographs of the underside are shown in the gallery below.
