The car is finished in Thunder Blue with a contrasting silver roof and features xenon headlights and fog lights as well as GP-specific bodywork consisting of revised bumper covers and side skirts, a red hood scoop and mirror caps, twin center-exit exhaust outlets, and a carbon-fiber rear wing. A decal on the roof identifies this car as #1,301 of the JCW GP examples produced. The hood and bumpers are stated to have been repainted under previous ownership to correct chips and scratches. The seller notes a touched-up paint chip on the roof edge, a scratch on the left rear bumper silver accent piece, and rippling in the rear hatch window tint. Close-up photos of the imperfections can be viewed in the gallery.
Machine-finished 18″ GP Design alloy wheels are mounted with 215/40 Kumho Ecsta PA51 tires. The car is equipped with a GP-specific sport suspension. The control arm bushings, ball joints, left-front axle, and front strut mounts were replaced in April 2022, and the front brake rotors and pads were replaced in 2021. Curb rash is present on the left-front and right-rear wheels.
The cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in Checkmate cloth and leather along with a color-coordinated dashboard, center console, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes heated seats, cruise control, air conditioning, and a Sony touchscreen stereo with Apple CarPlay and a rearview camera. An emblem on the dashboard identifies this car as #1,301 of 2,000 John Cooper Works GP examples produced. The JCW GP featured a chassis brace in place of the rear seats. The seller reports the left door armrest was replaced in 2021 and that the glove box can open intermittently under hard bumps.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a column-mounted tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline. A speedometer with integrated gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature is mounted in the center of the dashboard. The digital odometer indicates 41k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership.
The supercharged 1.6-liter inline-four was factory equipped with John Cooper Works tuning kit, and an M7 Tuning cold air intake has been added. Recent services include the replacement of the drive belt and oil filter housing in April 2022 as well as an oil change in November 2021.
Power is sent to the front wheels through a Getrag six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The clutch hydraulic line was replaced during a November 2021 service.
Two keys, a Sony stereo remote, manufacturer’s literature, service records, a John Cooper Works certificate of authenticity, and a window sticker showing factory colors, equipment, options, and a total suggested retail price of $31,150 are included.
