Chrome-finished Spider-design 18″ and 19″ wheels are wrapped in 275/35 front and 325/30 rear Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Braking is provided by red-finished Corvette-branded calipers over cross-drilled and ventilated discs at all four corners.
The bucket seats are trimmed in Dark Titanium leather with Gray inserts and 427-embroidered headrests, while red carbon fiber-style trim adorns the center stack and console. The car was optioned with the 3LZ Preferred Equipment Group, which added leather-wrapped interior trim, heated seats with driver’s position memory, a power-adjustable steering column, and side airbags. Additional amenities include a six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, Bose sound system, navigation, Keyless Access, push-button start, a head-up display, a CD stereo, cruise control, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The seller notes that an MGW short-throw shifter was installed under previous ownership.
Wil Cooksey Jr., who was the Corvette plant manager from 1993 through 2008, chose the 427 Limited Edition’s color scheme and also signed and numbered the underside of the armrest console lid for each of the 505 examples.
The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, battery voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 18k miles, approximately 900 of which were added under current ownership.
The 7.0-liter LS7 V8 features a dry-sump lubrication system, an oil cooler, a magnesium-alloy engine cradle, and titanium-alloy connecting rods. American Heritage cylinder heads were installed under previous ownership and service performed in June 2021 included an oil change as well as replacing the clutch fluid and air filters.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential with a 3.42:1 final drive. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery below.
The reproduction build sheet and window sticker are laminated, and manufacturer’s literature, removed parts, and two key fobs are also included in the sale.
