Staggered-width forged alloy Shelby Alcoa 20″ wheels are mounted with Pirelli P-zero tires measuring 255/35 in the front and 275/35 at the rear. The Super Snake package included four-wheel Baer disc brakes with six-piston calipers and an Eibach coilover suspension, and the 427 package added a strut tower brace in the engine bay. Curb rash can be seen on two of the wheels.
The cabin features sport bucket seats upholstered in Dark Charcoal leather with a color-matching dash, center console, door panels, and carpets. The front seat headrests are embossed with the Shelby Super Snake logo. Equipment includes Shelby 427 sill plates, a Shaker 500 sound system, Recaro front sport seats, a CD stereo, a navigation system, cruise control, and air conditioning. The Shelby 427-embroidered headrests, Shelby 427-embossed floor mats, and the Super Snake sill plates are included in the sale.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 11k miles.
Boost, fuel pressure, and oil pressure gauges are mounted above the center stack. Serialized plaques on the dashboard and in the engine bay identify this Super Snake as CSM number 08SS0023.
The supercharged 5.4-liter DOHC V8 was fitted with a Ford Racing supercharger by Shelby Automobiles and factory rated at 600 horsepower. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale and the car passed a California emissions test in August 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec six-speed manual transmission fitted with a short-throw shifter and a limited-slip differential with a 3.73:1 gear ratio. The clutch was replaced by Galpin Auto Sports in August 2018.
The Ford window sticker, Shelby Super Snake and Shelby 427 certificates of authenticity, additional documentation, a car cover, service records, removed parts, memorabilia, and two sets of keys are included in the sale.
