DTM-inspired flared fenders, carbon-fiber-reinforced front and rear aprons, and a carbon-fiber decklid spoiler were added to the CLK63 Black Series. This example is finished in black (040U) and features bi-xenon headlights, heated side mirrors, fender vents, and quad polished exhaust outlets. The selling dealer reports that the front bumper, hood, front quarter panels, and rear wheel arch flares are covered with clear paint protection film.
The 19″ AMG multi-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 tires. Adjustable coilovers and an AMG Electronic Stability Program (ESP) were standard. Stopping power is provided by multi-piston AMG-branded brake calipers over cross-drilled and slotted rotors at all four corners. The parking brake assembly was replaced in November 2021.
The cockpit features bolstered bucket seats trimmed in black Nappa leather along with a color-matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. The rear seats were deleted in Black Series models, and appointments include aluminum and carbon-fiber trim, Keyless-Go, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a Harman Kardon sound system, and COMAND infotainment with navigation.
The flat-bottom leather-wrapped AMG steering wheel is equipped with paddle shifters and frames a 200-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. A shift paddle was reportedly replaced in 2021. The digital odometer indicates under 22k miles, approximately 700 of which were added under current ownership.
The hand-assembled 6.2-liter M156 V8 was factory rated at 500 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. Work completed in late 2021 reportedly included replacing the battery as well as the intake manifold and breather pipe. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an AMG Speedshift seven-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
