Designed by Wolfgang Egger at Centro Stile Alfa Romeo, the production 8C Competizione was introduced at the 2006 Paris Motor Show. It revived the 8C name originally used for Alfa Romeo’s eight-cylinder racing cars of the 1930s and featured styling cues from the company’s post-war sporting cars across its carbon-fiber body panels, which are supported by a steel space frame.
