Manufacturer safety recalls were issued in May 2015 for the driver airbag inflator and in January 2019 for the passenger airbag inflator.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,250-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, boost pressure, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 1,200 miles, all of which were added under current ownership.
The supercharged 5.4-liter DOHC V8 was factory rated at 550 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. The oil was most recently changed in September 2022 at which time the battery was also reportedly replaced.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The window sticker shows initial delivery to Huntington Ford of Rochester Hills, Michigan, and lists factory equipment, colors, options, and a total price of $56,165. The sale also includes manufacturer’s literature, a Ford Shelby GT500 certificate, a Shelby Certificate of Authenticity, original sales documents, and a car cover.
