The 997 Carrera 4S features wider rear bodywork compared to the standard Carrera, and this example is finished in black. Additional equipment includes bi-xenon headlights, Dynamic Corning Lights, integrated fog lights, a sunroof, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and quad exhaust outlets. The Carfax report lists “minor damage” to the rear occurring in September 2019. The rear bumper cover and taillights were replaced at that time. A crack is visible on the front bumper cover, and the seller notes a paint correction and a scratch in the left-rear fender.
The 19″ Carrera Sport wheels are mounted with Pirelli P Zero N2 tires that were installed in January 2022, when the brake fluid was also flushed. The car features a MacPherson strut front suspension with a multi-link LSA rear setup as well as front and rear stabilizer bars.
The cabin features heated and ventilated power-adjustable front seats upholstered in black leather. Interior amenities include PCM with navigation, a Bose surround-sound system, automatic climate control, rubber floor mats, and cruise control. The PCM unit was replaced in May 2019, and the right window regulator was changed in July 2022. Peeling is noted on the left window switches and ashtray cover.
The heated leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a central tachometer and a 200-mph speedometer as well as gauges for oil temperature, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The optional Sport Chrono Package added a stopwatch atop the dashboard. The digital odometer indicates 73k miles.
The 3.8-liter flat-six features VarioCam Plus variable valve timing and was factory rated at 385 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. The coolant diverter and supply water hose were replaced in November 2019, and work since June 2020 has included fluids services and replacing the mass airflow sensor, throttle body, battery, fuel pump, and valve cover gaskets.
Power is routed to all four wheels via a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transaxle.
The window sticker lists initial delivery to Porsche of Burlington, Massachusetts, as well as factory equipment, colors, and a total price of $110,645.
