The MP4-12C features an F1-style one-piece molded carbon-fiber tub and plastic composite body panels, and this example is finished in MSO Pure Black with the Stealth Pack’s gunmetal exhaust finishers and mechanism for the active Airbrake rear spoiler. Additional exterior details include dihedral doors, front and rear parking sensors, and tinted windows. Paint correction and ceramic-coating application were carried out in May 2023. The seller notes a scrape under the front lip, and photos showing chips in the finish on the front bumper cover and behind the rear wheel openings are provided in the gallery below.
Stealth-finished 19″ and 20″ super-lightweight forged-alloy wheels are mounted with 235/35 front and 305/30 rear Pirelli P Zero tires. Braking is provided by black-finished McLaren-branded calipers fitted over cross-drilled carbon-ceramic rotors, and McLaren’s ProActive Chassis Control system provides adjustable ride and suspension settings. The suspension’s automatic pressure maintenance unit and accumulators were reportedly replaced in 2022, and the brake fluid was flushed in May of that year.
The heated and power-adjustable seats are upholstered in Harissa Red leather that extends to the dashboard, center console, and door panels. MP4-12C-branded floor mats line the footwells, and additional appointments include dual-zone climate control, seat-position memory, navigation, and a Meridian surround sound system. The seller states that IRIS 2 updates were applied to the infotainment system in 2019 and that the right side of the touchscreen is slow to respond.
The leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel is equipped with paddle shifters and frames a central 9k-rpm tachometer with an inset digital speedometer flanked by dual multifunction displays. The digital odometer indicates 20k miles, approximately 5k of which were added by the seller.
The twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8 features a flat-plane crankshaft as well as dry-sump lubrication and reportedly received 2013-specification updates including an increase in output to 616 horsepower. In May 2022, the oil was changed and the intake-air filter was replaced.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transaxle that is said to have been recalibrated under prior ownership, and the car was optioned with a sport exhaust system. Fluids for the transaxle and clutch were changed in May 2022.
The window sticker lists initial delivery to McLaren of Beverly Hills, California, factory colors and equipment, and a total suggested retail price of $278,555. Two carbon-fiber key fobs and a battery charger will also accompany the car.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in California, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, Connecticut, North Carolina, Texas, and Georgia.
