The car is finished in Obsidian Black (197) and is equipped with a retractable hardtop, which features a Magic Sky panoramic sunroof with driver-controlled variable tinting. Other exterior details include bi-xenon headlights with active curve illumination, the AMG Performance Package carbon-fiber trunk lid spoiler, and quad exhaust outlets.
Staggered 19″ front and 20″ rear forged AMG wheels wear Continental ContiSportContact tires with 2012 date codes. This SL63 is equipped with the AMG Performance Suspension system, and the AMG Performance Package added gold-painted brake calipers and a higher top speed governor. Stopping is handled by factory-optional AMG Carbon-Ceramic brakes at all four corners. The left-front wheel was recently refinished to repair curb rash.
The interior is upholstered in black leather and features carbon-fiber trim on the doors, dashboard, and center console. Amenities include climate-controlled and power-adjustable seats, Airscarf neck warmers, COMAND infotainment, a Bang and Olufsen sound system, dual-zone automatic climate control, and soft-close doors. Driver aids consist of Distronic Plus cruise control, a rear-view camera, active blind-spot monitoring, and active lane-keeping assistance.
The leather and Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and a central multi-function display. The digital odometer indicates 11k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership.
The twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter M157 V8 features the AMG Performance Package, which raised engine output to 557 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. A service including an oil change was performed in May 2022 at Mercedes-Benz of Music City in Nashville, Tennessee.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed AMG Speedshift MCT transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additional underbody photos are provided in the gallery.
The window sticker shows initial delivery to Mercedes-Benz of Salt Lake City, Utah, as well as factory colors, equipment, and a total retail price of $188,880.
