Polished 19″ alloy wheels are mounted Bridgestone Potenza RE-050A tires. The SS is equipped with Magnetic Ride Control as well as silver-finished Brembo brake calipers. The front and rear brake rotors were refinished in 2017. The rear brake pads are said to have been replaced during the rear brake rotor refresh. The steering gear assembly was replaced as part of a recall campaign in November 2021.
The cabin houses front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in Jet Black leather upholstery with SS-embroidered backrests. Amenities include driver’s seat position memory, heated and ventilated front seats, aluminum pedals, cruise control, a head-up display, dual-zone automatic climate control, a Bose sound system, keyless entry, and Chevrolet MyLink infotainment with navigation. The radio was reprogrammed in July 2016, and recalls related to the airbag sensor and driver-side seat belt were completed in July 2017.
The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel frames a 180-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 13k miles.
The 6.2-liter LS3 V8 was factory rated at 415 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. A tie strap was installed to the rear axle wiring harness as part of a recall campaign in July 2016.
The window sticker lists initial delivery to Chevrolet of Gadsden in Alabama along with factory equipment, colors, and a total vehicle price of $46,740.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists one-owner history in Michigan.
