The Spyder features a manually-folding black soft top that stows beneath the double-hump rear clamshell and front and rear styling shared with the contemporary Cayman GT4. This example is finished in Racing Yellow with a black soft top and is equipped with bi-xenon headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS+) as well as a speed-activated rear spoiler, side air intakes, SportDesign side mirrors, front and rear styling shared with the contemporary Cayman GT4, and central dual exhaust outlets.
The 20″ Carrera S alloy wheels are mounted with Pirelli P Zero tires measuring 235/35 up front and 265/35 at the rear. Braking is handled by cross-drilled and ventilated carbon-ceramic discs with yellow-painted Porsche-branded calipers. Boxster Spyders were equipped from the factory with a 20mm lower sport suspension than the standard Boxster. An electromechanical steering rack that was shared with the contemporary 911 Turbo was also fitted as standard. A brake fluid flush was performed in March 2022.
The 18-way power-adjustable adaptive seats are trimmed in black leather with Alcantara inserts, yellow stitching, and Spyder-embroidered headrests. Carbon-fiber trim accents the cabin, and additional appointments include Porsche-branded floor mats, a fire extinguisher, aluminum pedals, automatic climate control, the Light Design Package, Porsche Communication Management (PCM), navigation, and cruise control.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a central tachometer with a 7,600-rpm redline as well as a 200-mph speedometer and a digital display. An optional Sport Chrono Package added a stopwatch in the center stack. The digital odometer indicates 204 miles, approximately 125 of which were added during current ownership.
The rear cargo area covers the mid-mounted 3.8L flat-six, which was shared with the contemporary 991 Carrera S and was factory rated at 375 horsepower and 309 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was performed in March 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle. Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery below.
