Satin Platinum-finished 20″ wheels are mounted with 235/35 front and 265/35 rear Pirelli P Zero tires. Braking is handled by six-piston front and four-piston rear red-finished calipers over cross-drilled and ventilated discs. Spyders were equipped from the factory with a sport suspension that lowered the car by 20mm when compared with the standard Boxster. An electromechanical steering rack that was shared with the contemporary 911 Turbo was also fitted as standard.
The cabin features carbon-fiber-reinforced full bucket seats trimmed in black leather with Alcantara inserts and silver stitching. Equipment includes cruise control, dual-zone automatic climate control, Silver Grey seat belts, silver-color door pull loops, and a fire extinguisher. The car was ordered with the radio delete option.
The Alcantara-wrapped GT steering wheel frames a central tachometer with a 7,600-rpm redline, a 190-mph speedometer, and a digital display. The digital odometer indicates 5k miles.
The rear cargo area covers the mid-mounted 3.8L flat-six, which was shared with the contemporary 911 Carrera S and was factory rated at 375 horsepower and 309 lb-ft of torque. A larger 16.9-gallon fuel tank was optioned from the factory. The engine oil was changed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle and a mechanically-locking rear differential with Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV).
The window sticker lists initial delivery to Porsche North Houston of Houston, Texas, along with factory colors, equipment, and a total price of $94,030. Manufacturer’s literature is also included in the sale along with two remote keys.
