The 488 debuted in 2015, and revisions over the outgoing 458 included a restyled front bumper cover with an integrated splitter as well as a rear diffuser with elevated exhaust outlets. This example was ordered in Rosso Corsa and features a black roof, Scuderia fender shields, and carbon-fiber bodywork consisting of a rear diffuser, side splitters, rear air ducts, and front spoiler.
Black-painted forged 20″ wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires measuring 245/35 up front and 305/30 out back. Stopping power is provided by carbon-ceramic brakes with yellow brake calipers, and the car is equipped with Slide Slip Angle Control (SSC) and magnetic suspension damping. The brake fluid was flushed in December 2021.
The bucket seats are trimmed in black leather and feature red diamond-stitched inserts as well as Cavallino embroidery on the headrests. 488 GTB-branded floor mats line the footwells, and additional appointments include dual-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable seats, an auto-dimming mirror with Homelink controls, front and rear parking sensors, a parking camera, and a carbon-fiber trim. The pollen filter was replaced in December 2021.
The flat-bottom steering wheel frames column-mounted paddle shifters and is optioned with carbon-fiber trim and LED shift indicators. Instrumentation includes a yellow-dial centrally located 10k-rpm tachometer flanked by two configurable TFT screens. The digital odometer shows approximately 17k miles, all of which have been added by the current owner.
The twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 was rated at 661 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 561 lb-ft of torque at 3,000 rpm when new. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a seven-speed F1 dual-clutch transaxle. Service in December 2021 included changing the oil as well as replacing the drive belt and engine air filter.
The window sticker lists initial delivery to Ferrari of Washington in Virginia, along with standard equipment, options, colors, and a total suggested retail price of $362,189.
